Description
KUHN GA 6930, 7530, 8030 and 8830 semi-mounted, twin-rotor rotary rakes are designed for intensive use and simple operation. These side-delivery models excel in a variety of applications, such as managing crop densities by choosing between one or two windrows. During heavy first cut or light fourth cut, you can control the volume of crop in the windrow. Rake individual swaths or combine the crop to form one windrow. Simply adjust the working width to produce the best windrow size for your operation.
KUHN GA 6930, 7530, 8030 and 8830 rotary rakes include important innovative features for your benefit. One of these features is Stabilift™, an exclusive design that lifts the rotors and locks the suspension in a slightly inclined position for time savings, high ground clearance and hydraulic locking during transport. Other design features include StabiDrive™ and heavy-duty Masterdrive ® GIII gearboxes. These semi-mounted models have excellent tracking and stability on uneven ground, great maneuverability, reduced dimensions in transport position and easy adjustments.

Masterdrive® GIII Gearbox
The patented KUHN Masterdrive GIII double-reduction gearbox is designed for heavy crops, tough field conditions, and intensive use. Key components have been improved to build lighter, yet stronger rotors such as: aluminum alloy housings, optimized cam track minimizing force on the follower bearing, larger follower bearing diameter reducing rotation speed and pressure on the cam, tine arms with large-dimension bearings, sturdier pivoting tine support shaft, reinforced main shaft, and reinforced mounting of tine arms on tine holders. The Masterdrive GIII’s ability to move heavy wet crop, handle dry hay gently, and neatly windrow corn stalks is unrivaled in the industry.Double-Curved Tine Arms
Double-curved tine arms are designed to form fluffy and straight windrows for superior raking quality at high speeds. Fluffy windrows allow more air movement through the crop promoting fast and uniform drying! KUHN rotary rakes achieve this by following two basic principles for ideal windrow formation. First, the tine arms maintain a positive forward position right up to the point where the forage is delivered to the windrow ensuring gentle crop handling and minimal ash incorporation. Second, a steep cam track allows the tines to be raised very quickly to provide additional clearance over the windrow.Heavy-Duty Tines
KUHN tines rake the crop gently, yet thoroughly, even in dense, heavy crop. Their heat-treated steel construction helps ensure a longer service life and maximum resistance to fatigue. The floating tine attachment features large-diameter coils that reduce the risk of wear. The tine height is easily and accurately controlled to collect all of the crop and not damage the stubble. As with all rotary rakes, proper tine height adjustment is essential to maximize service life3D Suspension
The 3D suspension of the rotors provides exceptional adaptation of the machine to the terrain. Up and down movements show an impressive range from +10” to -12”.Stabilift™ 3D Suspension Lock
Both 3D suspension rotors are equipped with an integrated hydraulic cylinder, which locks the rotor movement automatically as soon as a rotor is lifted from the ground. The main advantages of this system include: Lower the machine’s center of gravity for more stability Higher ground clearance for windrowStabiDrive®
It's the small details that make a big difference for safe travel on the road: The pin coupling the tractor's lower links and the rake is not vertical, but rather inclined slightly forward. This results in the center of gravity being kept more in the center of the rake when turning (shown by the yellow line in the picture above and to the right) and significantly increases stability, especially in hilly conditions. The pin angle increases pressure on the inner lower link as well as the inner wheel of the rake's undercarriage when turning.Rotor Undercarriage
The rotor wheels on KUHN rotary rakes are positioned extremely close to the tines. This allows the tines to follow ground contours minimizing contact with the ground reducing dirt and ash incorporation into the windrow.Transport and Maneuverability
The GA 6930, 7530, 8030 and 8830 fold up narrow for easy transport on narrow roads. The tie rod controlled steering of the rear wheels provides even greater maneuverability in and out of the fieldElectric Control Boxes
For easier, more convenient use the KGA 03L control box is available as an option on the GA 6930 and GA 7530. The control box enables selection of one or two windrows as well as windrow width adjustment from the cab in addition to individual rotor height adjustment or individual rotor lift. Additional hydraulic connections or completion kits may be required. The GA 8030 comes with the KGA 02L control box as standard equipment to easily move between field and transport, as well as selecting one or two windrow configuration and adjusting windrow width form the cab. Optionally the KGA 11L is available to control the same functions plus selecting between individual or linked rotor height adjustment. The KGA 04L control box comes as standard equipment on the GA 8830 which sets the work/transport position, adjust the windrow width, individual rotor lift, and individual hydraulic rotor height. Additional hydraulic connections or completion kits may be required.SPECIFICATIONS
